Automatic induction heating unit (fig. 2) is designed to heat round section blanks of Ø90…150 mm in diameter and length of 140…335 mm with output capacity 13…60 sec/pc. for further pressing at press-shop. The unit is mounted at Heavy Forging Plant (KZTSH, Zhodino, Belarus) by the experts of Beltechnologia & M. The induction heater is a four-row automatic heating line which operates without outside interference. Induction heater layout is in Fig. 3.
The unit is composed of the following main assembly units and mechanisms:
1. Induction heater box.
2. 3. Inductor ?1 and Inductor ?2 respectively.
4. Reciprocating hopper feeder.
5. Vibratory feeder.
6. Conveyor.
7. Inductor in-feed device.
8. Inductor out-feed device.
9. Reject chute.
10. Pyrometers.
11. Thyristor frequency converter ?1 along with built-in heat exchanger.
12. Thyristor frequency converter ?2 along with built-in heat exchanger.
13. Electricity box.
14. Panel.
15. Hydraulic drive.
16. Pneumatic drive.
